I've been limping some out of position w/AK preflop early on based on some reading I've done here. Maybe it's an indefensible move here or in general. I don't know. What did you think about the rest of the hand.

yeah. also, i think you played it fine other than that. the check on the river might seem a little overcautious, but early in a t1500 tourney i think it is a good move, especially since he limped and could have had two pair...

I usually just complete PF from the blind with AK. I don't like the check-raise on the flop OOP. I would either bet out or check/call, but I prefer betting out.
