I get AJ fairly early in a toruney and I see the flop. Position was bad and AJ leads to trouble. I know, I should have raised into the preflop or folded.

Anyhow any advice on how to play this better. I was hoping to outplay him postflop but that was not the case. Check-raise the flop maybe ?

Muck preflop.
But since you stuck yourself in that position I think your flop raise should have been stronger. Anyone agree?

Yeah, a bet of 100 is better. But muck this pre-flop. Too early to get involved in a big pot with a substandard hand.
