I heard this a the commerce tournament friday night:

player: isn't it going to cost daniel a lot of money not being able to play in the big games at the bellagio since he is obligated to play at the wynn?

full tilt insider: I think it's going to save him a lot of money.

lmao

If he was a big fish, wouldn't all of the other players gladly accomodate him?

Seems pretty silly that they would say "No, you can keep your million dollars. We like the chairs at the Bellagio more."

If he is a loser he probably is not a big enough loser for the players to move the big game over to wynn. Also remmebr alot of the big game players have friendships with bellagio big names. Bobby Baldwin and doug dalton. If they went to wynn it might feel like a betrayal to Doyle and chip to leave there friends business to help business at a rival casino.

Now if Gus Hansen moved to Wynn they might consider it!

It would be fair to assume (with no proof of course) that Steve Wynn might be staking Daniel at the Wynn. This is no different to Beny Binion staking his son's best friend to play at Binions back in the day. Jack's best friend was of course Doyle. Doyle brought crowds (and therefore revenue) to Binions.

Do you mean staking in the sense that he is giving him money to play on? Why would Daniel [won't try to spell his last name] need to be staked if he has already been playing 4k/8k?

Because he is not a winner in that game?

Oh, I assumed he meant he is staking him to play in games at the Wynn. If that was wrong than my post makes no sense I suppose.

Lets pretend he is in fact a loser in that game, does Daniel know this?

That is what he meant.

If you were a losing player(in the 4k/8k game, which other posters have implied that daniel is) wouldn't you rather lose half your money and half Wynn's money than 100% your own money?

Lets pretend my original post was supposed to be sarcastic. Would you guys still have given these uber intense responses?

I think he can beat the 40/80 at the Wynn.

If his journal is accurate, he is definitly a net winner in the last 6 months. I don't think anyone here can say with any certainty that he isnt a winner in that game.

If I was drinking something when I read Scrub's reply, then my computer screen would have been very wet. Nice zing!
