Bankroll-wise I can handle the swings but psychologically I'm putting a lot of stress on myself. I really hate having a losing "win rate." Is it possible that I'm not suited for 1/2 6-max or is it the case that everyone can adjust?

Samplasize jada jada...

But anyway, how was your winnnings for fullring?

Where you a winner over a large sample there?

It takes at least 50,000 hands to answer a question like that, unless you are still losing 6BB/100 at 20-30k hands. From the looks of of your WSD and W$SD you are just running bad - don't sweat it.

I have added a hotkey to my system. When I press <alt> <shift> F4, it prints out:

"Your sample size is too small."

OTOH, your VPIP, WTSD and W$SD suggest you are running really bad.

The graph of my first 3k hands at 10/20 looks almost exactly the same as yours at 1/2. Eerie...

Anyway, i was looking at my graph of 60k 5/10 hands and if I moved a 3k hand snapshot around across it I could find spots where I looked like I was the winningest player ever...and then again I could find spots where it looked like I was a complete chump and should never play poker.

Sample size is a bitch, but you really do need 50k+ hands to get a good idea of where you are at.

That's only 150 BB. I had a 280 BB downswing at 1/2 6-max. They happen.

Your stats look all right.... except for W$WSF and W$@SD, which is probably because you're running bad.

In my first ~6k hands (1/2 6m) i was down 260BB. I was playing way too tight preflop and too aggressively post against LP opponents. Now after 15k hands my winrate is raising up to where it should be. I think your VPIP and PFR numbers are ok so just play more and learn more...no need to think about the WR if you feel that you are running bad.

A little OT...

How do you make those graphs? Is it through PT or something else?

Peter.

Given those statistics, I think you are.
My recommendation is as follows: Quit poker and try golfing.

Side note: Quit statistics too.

I actually just left a post in the software forum about this, but nobody is respoding. Is there an option in poker tracker for these graphs or are they being done in another program?

Edit: Just saw keikiwai's post. But, yeah, what's up?

Thanks - the opinion of an uninformed, anonymous poster on the internet means the world to me.

I think he is trying to be funny because he dont respect the sample size and dont respect the small amounts BB lost. Dont know why people post when they got nothing to say.

I have made a living playing poker for 18 months. I make more then I need playing 2 hours/day. When I started play shorthanded 1/2 at Paradise about 2.5 years ago I lost 300BB before understanding how to beat it. Down at .50/1 full table and got my $ back and up again and lost and down and up and...
1 month later I cashed out my first $1000. Man I felt like a pro then. Have had many, many downswins since then. Last month I dropped $7K. Its hard but you got to be able to take it if you want to play this game for a living.

Many cant do it. They move up to fast and when they hit a +400BB downswing at 15/30 they are down and out, gets weaker and suddenly have troubles beating the $3/6. Thinking they are on a bad run that goes on forever when they actually plays worse then they once did.

Its a fact that most players starts to play different when they are on a bad run. And its also a fact that most people dont believe this fact to be true when it comes to themeselves.
