Big time. I've never seen a movie he was in that wasn't good, nor have I seen one in which he didn't act well. He's so cool.

This is his only major movie I haven't seen yet (that I can think of, if you can think of others I may not have, please name them).

The Score with Norton, DeNiro, and Brando was incredibly mediocre.

I even like that he's doing that great series about the changes in nature on PBS. It's cool when a star appears to have a brain and give a damn about something besides his fame and trivial everyday concerns. Lots of us don't really extend ourselves in any way to make anything better for anybody, and the desire to give a damn would probably be even less if we were rich and famous. So, that adds an extra layer of coolness to him, definitely.

OMG I LOVE ED NORTON!

Yeah, I do have quite a crush on him, he's just too cool. Especially his mouth and voice...

BTW American History X is incredible, especially Ed naked in the shower scene!

He's very cool.

However, this guy is the epitome of cool:

dont watch american history x.

it sucked hardcore.

especially the scene where he is a teenager talking to the reporter outside his house that was supposed to make the movie and it sucked so [censored] bad it isnt funny.

american history x maybe the most overrated movie of all time.

I like Norton as lot as an actor, but "Keeping the Faith" prevents him from being in any kind of super cool status.

He's only cool if you like acting. He usually plays "nerds" I guess.

But he's probably the best actor in hollywood.

Oh..he's the blond portly dude from 25th Hour. (probably his most notable role).

He's also in..
Owning Mahoney, Love Liza, Happiness, Magnolia, Boogie Nights, Big Lebowski...everything he does is gold.

[/ QUOTE ]

No offense, but you're crazy. American History X is his best performance (though it may be tied with Fight Club) and one of my top 5 favorite flicks. I will grant you that the interview when he was a kid was the weakest scene, but I mean come on - playing the same character 10 years younger is not exactly a simple feat.

OP, have you seen Death to Smoochy? It's a strange flick, and an interesting character for Norton - all in all a pretty decent dark comedy.

Well, he cut it off, but yeah, that guy is insanely cool. There's another guy I read about who did the same thing when he got trapped under his truck after it was knocked off the highway into a valley below.

He's decent. He's no Affleck, but has a general idea. I've also played with Hank Azaria. Macauly Culkin also has played at the cardroom I play at.

Edward Norton rocks. If you get the 25th hour DVD listen to the extras. The director has some very interesting stories about Norton. Apparently Norton was so enraptured by the 25th hour book that he had a artificial widows peak implanted into his head before he was even offered the part.
