i want to get a decent amount of DVDs, but dont want to pay retail at best buy. is there a better place? Right now im thinking about half.com. Has anyone had any experiences with buying used DVDs?

DVDs will be obsolete in 20 years. Save your money.

I've always wondered what would happen if I walked into best buy with a grand and asked for a discount.

BTW Dynasty is partially right. DVD's are going to be outdated, but not in 20 years. It will be much sooner. HD DVD and holographic storage are out right now. The technology is here, it's only a matter of the industry getting their act together.

I really want to start a DVD collection but I'm hesistant because HD DVDs will be out soon (hopefully). If you ever watch movies on say HBO HD the quality is sooo much better than regular DVDs it's sickening.

Ive never seen anything in HD, so i have no idea what you guys are talking about. I guess i should just hold out for them though. I didnt realize it was coming so soon.

Wait for the deepdiscountdvd.com 20% sale. It is not kind to the pocket book.
