Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (6 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Button (t815)
SB (t1715)
Hero (t895)
UTG (t2170)
MP (t370)
CO (t2035)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 2/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP calls [t370] , <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, SB call, Hero raises[t895]...

I was trying to get small blind out of the hand, and end up getting a great price heads up, even with a crap hand.
My read is SB will fold this a lot. Does the play have some merit, or are I just an idiot?

i like this type of play in a lot of situations. Here I am not sure you have the stack to muscle the SB out. also it is really early (a lot of players left) to be showing down a 92o. You're entering a stage of the game where you want people to think you're pushing only the best cards so that you can push with well 92o.
