I found this www.soundsetcentral.com (http://www.soundsetcentral.com)

It is exactly what I want to add to AIM. Basically one sound for each person that comes on. Too bad it's mac only. Does anyone know of a site for windows? Or a good collection of wav file greetings?

Errrr.... that's the stuff. *.hqx mac format for aim? Why can't they just give us the wav?

I don't use Aim sounds at all. The doors opening and closing annoy me. So I just check the buddy list every 15 minutes or so to see if someone that I want to talk to has signed on. Or people message me.

By AIM you mean Trillian right?

I'm sure you can get some sound packs off Deviant Art or somewhere.

you don't have that many options. I want a different sound for each person.

I was under the impression it was imitation's, but since he never posts I got tired of hunting for his replies to see some bouncing boobies.

StuffIt Expander can decrypt *.hqx files and CoolEdit should be able to convert the sounds if they are anything but WAV. I would do it but i'm lazy. Hope that helps.

.hqx is a mac-only compression scheme, not an AIM file. Those sounds sets open with a program that site provides you from which you can then extract them. It doesn't let you customize your sounds beyond what AIM is already capable of, though.

EDIT: If you really want a particular set, I can extract one for you and post it.

I only use this (http://www.moviewavs.com/cgi-bin/moviewavs.cgi?Eurotrip=mailmotherfucker.wav) for incoming conversations with all other functions silent. I'd have it no other way.
