I am extraordinarily confused as to what the question is here. If you'd like to ask what you do if you are raised by this donk on the river, then fine, we can talk about that.

Bet and call a raise. Even if it was a diamond I would still bet

Sorry. I saw a threads on AF total which suggested that mine was way too high. I thought this might have been a situation where I was value-betting too hard.

In this hand, I did bet, and was raised on the river. This put me to a tough decision. Since I guess the consensus is that value betting the river is correct, can we talk about what to do when raised?

Easy value bet .. 55-22,88,AQ,KJ,JT,A6 ... all call but probably don't bet this river.

When raised, you only need to be good 1 in 11 times. KJ,QJ,JT could plausibly have waited till the river to raise. CO might raise an unimproved pocket pair here too, putting you on AK/AQ. Add in busted flush draws and other random desperation bluffs and you're easily good that often.
