Blech. I don't like it but can't say I'd play it any differently. Easy turn call as youghave str8 outs. The pot is just to big to fold on the river. You lose this 90% of the time but you're getting 16:1 closing the action. I crying call this all day and lose all day.

The pot is huge, and you've got 6ish outs, so you've gotta call the flop and turn. The river overcall is marginal at best, but the pot is pretty big. With no reads, I don't think I can overcall. Even if I knew button was a LAG, I have to wonder what UTG is calling with and what button is raising with that we beat. A8? A gutshot gone sour?

hmmm...i'd probably fold the river. the only raising flop hand we beat is a pair of 8s.

Board isn't 10-high, it's pair-of-sixes-high. Think I would check-fold the turn.

You do realize that hero has 4 outs to a straight and 2 outs to a full house getting 13:1, right? Folding the turn would be awful.

You are almsot forced to call this river. If your going to fold this hand it would have been on the turn looking at calling 2BB to see SD, but your 6 outs makes that pretty hard to do as well.

Looks like one of those hands you just can't get away from. Your hand is weak and will lose often. Just keep the faith that the math is right and you will win just enough to make playing this way a long term winner.

Thanks to all for feedback.

I figured I was behind after button's flop raise, but felt I had to call it down from the turn on because the pot was pretty big and I had the outs to the straight...and I also wanted to look button up since he seemed to be winning.

ONE LAST Q: Is everyone here rasing pocket 9's from up front to early middle (and beyond, of course)??

RESULTS: Anyway, UTG had pocket 2's (?!). Button flipped up 7,10 of /images/graemlins/club.gif

Yes. You want to limit the field and get more money in the pot. It's like hitting on 16 when a dealer has a 10 showing. You don't love doing it but you really should.
