$2-$5 $200max local B&M game.

Villain1 is one of the azn gambling crew that usually plays NL in town that isn't that good, however, in his defense he's probably the best of the azn gambooolers. I've played with him many times, and he has always respected my raises.

Villain2 is a weak-tight old man playing on scared money.

Hero ($250) Button
Villain1 ($200) SB
villain2 ($150) UTG+1

Hero has J/images/graemlins/club.gif 8/images/graemlins/club.gif on the button.

Villain2 limps UTG+1, 3 other EP/MP limpers, I limp on the button. Villain1 completes SB, BB checks.

6 players to the flop.

Flop ($30) 7/images/graemlins/club.gif 6/images/graemlins/heart.gif 4/images/graemlins/club.gif.

Villian1 leads for $40. My read at the time is the bet is almost certainly a vulnerable hand that doesn't want callers. If he flopped a set or straight, he would either bet less to induce callers or check-raise.

Folds to Villain2 in UTG who calls. Read here is some kind of draw or overpair. He doesn't look too thrilled about calling though? He could have a monster though.

Folds to me on the Button, I push all in.

All comments appreciated.

I guess this post wasn't too interesting. Anyway, somehow the azn gamboooler called me with Q /images/graemlins/heart.gif 7 /images/graemlins/heart.gif for top pair queen kicker, giving me 18 outs to improve on the turn or river. The scared money player mucked, as I knew he would.

Needless to say I don't manage to hit one.

I ask him "How can you make that call?" he replies "I got top pair man!"

So the moral of the story is: Even if you think you have control of someone and they usually respect your raises, they still might call you with a pair of 7s. (which, obviously in this case is ok since i'm like 3:2 favorite!)

Why can't I ever hit my big draws!
