I use ventrillo and other voice communication software quite frequently, and the only headsets that are kept in stock in local stores are logitechs. Together me and an aquaintance have gone through 9 headsets in less than 3 months. I've had 4 break and hes had 5. The headsets were in between the 20-60 dollar range most being different models. This is either a testament to the complete unreliability of logitech equipment...or we are doing something wrong.

I need a new headset and i will NOT be getting a logitech, does anyone know a good brand headset that won't break in under a week and a half?

Look at Sony. I really like their headphones, whether it's the ear-muff or ear-bud type. I imagine they sell head-sets as well.

Wow- glad I read this post- I was going to buy a Logitech headset this afternoon! Any thoughts on a USB Non-Logitech headset/mic? I need one for Guild Wars, baby!

I've had an Altec Lansing headset for 4 months or so. Works great and it was only $25 or $30. Plus, it's commmmfy.

PROBABLY?

I am speaking from first hand experience, this is the one to get.

I have gone through a few other headsets, and this is by far the best.
