Firstly I should say that, even though I haev posted here quite a bit, I am fairly new to Hold'Em.
Only started playing about 9 months ago. Only heard of the game about a year and a half ago.

At the start I was really c**p but seem to have improved.
I am now profitable (aren't all poker players?). However, I don't seem to be making the sort of money that is bantered around here. Maybe a hundred dollars or more a month.

I am now playing 6-max $25 and $50 and making 5PTBB/10 and 2PTBB/100 repectively. I am sticking with $50, even though I am making less money, in the hope that I will improve over time.

Where am I going wrong? What part of my game should I be looking at?

I'd go to full ring. I make $1000 / month on full ring. Variance is very small. I get chewed up on the 6 max NL tables. I play .10/.25 NL and .25/.50 NL

Your PTBB/100 hands at NL25 seems to be a little bit low. On my bad days with a lot of draw outs I have 5 PTBB/100 hands. How big is your sample?

I've only been playing holdem for 5 months, but I've been playing poker for about 20 years. I always put off playing holdem, but with all the crazy TV coverage I decided to put my poker skills to work in a "new found" crazed area of poker. My best advice to you, because I don't know your skill level as a poker player is this:

1) Obvioulsy respond to lots of hands posts here. Don't bother posting your own hands (well..). Don't read other peoples response and post as much detail about how you'd play the hand. Then read responses.
2) Develop your reads. Always place your opponents on a range of hands and develop a style to play against different psychological profiles on the felt. At the 25 NL level on party, I can seriously play almost any cards and out play my opponents based on my reads and profiling.
3) If you haven't already, play 1/2 limit hold em for a few months. This will refine your play immensly imo. You'll have to be extremely solid on calculating your outs and pot odds, and pre-flop standards at 1/2 or 2/4 in order to be profitable.
4) Make sure you really understand the math behind the game. If you don't, stop playuing and study it until you do.

That's the most I can say for now. Good luck.

Yeah, good advice. 6 max applies reading skills to an even higher degree. If you don't feel confident in your reads, full ring is a better way to go.

About 15,000 hands.

Just re-checked the number (I was quoting from memory).

$25 6-max: 5.28 PTBB/100 - 7,000 hands
$50 6-max: 1.51 PTBB/100 - 8,000 hands

I don't have significant numbers for Party on full-ring but was making money on Paradise. I left there when weird things started to happen (after they were bought out by SportsBook).

But, over 34,000 hands I was making 3.21 PTBB/100 at $25 level (same stack sizes are Party now have).

If you want to improve make a conscious effort to improve. That basically means posting hands :P .
