I'm thinking this is one of those times where I have to tell myself "If I'm willing to call a reraise, then I should just push first."

I was thinking the same thing, why didn't he just push if he was gonna call the reraise

Correct. Raising to 800 and calling a reraise is terrible. I like to just go allin here like a robot. It's clearly plus EV, and I don't like calling and seeing a flop out of position.
