Opponent too LAG preflop, okay player. For the river I can see, check/call, bet/call, and bet/fold... Thoughts?

i think you should bet/call this river, especially if you say he's a lag preflop.

bet fold is the best line against opponent you know won't bluff you raise there, but against unknowns I'd bet-call, esp knowing that my opponent is too LAG.

don't include your opponents check behind in your post, feels like it's really affecting my thinking here.

anyway, I think I'd bet this river and call a raise.

First post and I haven't played higher than 10/20 online but 30/60 B&M... fwiw... I fold preflop.

Given your course of action, I can see either betting and either calling or folding to a raise or checking down.

I bet though, if you were up against an ace I think you would have heard about it by now.

He can't fold preflop. He's getting huge odds and closing the action.

On the river you should be happy to check it down. Since you took a passive line, you clearly think your hand is marginal.

If you wanted to define your hand earlier, you should have led out on the flop, or checkraised the flop. In a shorthanded game, I'd prefer to lead out on the flop.

I personally wouldn't raise with the A7 at stars, other than that I like your line. Unless he is a crazy man, betting the river will get him to fold or raise, something I am not too crazy about. I would like to hear some more people talking about betting and then folding to a raise on the riv.

Peace,

Joe

He didn't mean fold to the 3 bet. He meant open-fold. I also think playing this hand has -ev.
