I didn't want to get to aggressive and reraise PF mainly becuase this is low-buyin (getting pushed or reraised with trash, Id have to fold). Although looking at it again makes me think, yes just reraise.

On the river I felt I may be beat, so no bet.

Also, Ive never pushed QQ PF this early, and I dont think it would be correct to do so, right?

Uh, yeah, re-raise this to 240-300ish, you don't want QQ 4 handed, the low buy-in is just more reason to re-raise.

I see... I think my strat here was to get set, over pair at that time. If A or K would show, Id fold to a bet.

thats not a good strategy. MAYBE with jacks. maybe. you gotta pot this preflop, get out the garbage. holla

1) Re-raise this preflop.
2) Get as many chips in the pot as possible with QQ preflop, ESPECIALLY at this buyin. At higher buyins, you are going to have a hard time getting all the chips in the middle with a hand that you are ahead of. At the $10 level, people are going to get their chips in there with all kinds of retarded stuff and most of the time you are going to double up.

Thanks. I used play 20 and 30's so Im trying to adjust a bit.

I want to make it very smooth so its a simple adjustment of play, not a change into moron.

Same goes for 20s and 30s, at least at Party.

I wouldnt say you playing against trash, everyone gave the villain alright odds to play his hand. You played it horribly by letting them into the flop that cheap.

Calling here pf is just horrible. Random low-buyin player will never, ever fold to a <T100 bet after limping. You need put in a strong re-raise or even push if the table as been loose.

Playing QQ for set value is horribly weak-tight. There are only 8 scare cards (A's and K's) in the deck so most of the time you won't see one on the flop, and even if you do you're often still ahead (I'm way more worried if I see an A than a K since the monkeys love to call PF raises with A-rag but K-rag not as much) so you'll probably need to make a continuation bet, depending on how many callers you got, even if you do see an A or a K (ie: Against 1 caller you definately want to make a continuation bet pretty much regardless. Against 4 callers you're much more likely to be behind so it comes down to whether or not you think anyone is capable of folding Ax if they believe you might have AK)

your logic about the preflop action is retarded, im sorry to say. when you have AK or QQ+ you should be looking to get all in no matter what preflop.

make a large reraise, and the flop is safe, make another large bet. by then you are committed. if he has kk or aa, so be it. however you will win money in the long run doing this.

i play at the low limits and can expect anyone with any drawing hand to call my raise. so is it wrong to go all in in this situation?? because thats what i might do?

You need to list the pot size, but going all in for 3x the pot is rarely correct.

i think i replied to the wrong tree of wisdom thread. ok im confused now. i thought they were the same since ops play is consistently abysmal. thats how i judge and remember threads. /images/graemlins/grin.gif
