Following up the previous post, "how do you know someone online is on tilt"? Often they tell you online they're on tilt by moaning about the suckout. When I tilt online I try to at least keep it to myself and not give it away by chatting my complaints. But you can at least guess at tilt if the guy has dropped +20BB in 20 minutes on consecutive suckouts, even if he doesn't make a peep.
My question though is, do you think tilt is worse for players online than live? I would say for me the answer is absoulutely yes. When I play live and get a bad beat I'm much better at remaining composed than sitting at home alone. All those eyes on me live somehow helps to keep me from making a fool of myself. Not that I never tilt live, it just doesn't happen as often and when it does it's more sedated.
This is not the case online. Because, in cyberspace, no one can hear you scream. I'm much less inhibited when I'm sitting at home in my robe to scream out "you $%&*ing suckout" to a guy who can't hear me. Maybe it's the pace of the game, too, when you blow your carefully accumulated winnings in a series of suckouts and, zap, you're buyin is gone in 15 minutes.
Do others feel the same way? Is your online tilt better or worse than your live tilt?
