Not really, but I just had to come up with something to get people to read this post. Since most of you never venture outside of STT, I thought I would share the best Vegas trip report ever (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=2316485&page=0&view=colla psed&sb=5&o=14&fpart=&vc=1) with you, my friends. Also because my friend Jonathan who lurks here but never contributes likes a good Vegas trip report.

Read it. It is funny and color-coded. He gets the words for when you lose and the disgusting purple vegetable confused, but other than that it is perfect.

I am sleepy, and maybe drunk.

Sixes,

I hardly venture outside of STT so I'll ask you here. Who do you want to win the Contender Championship? I want Alfonso Gomez to take it down... he is nails!

I am also wondering which has the higher smoking point -- canola, peanut, corn, or soy, or walnut oil?

My favorite part:

[ QUOTE ]
Just a few hands later I am in the small blind with 88. Three or four limpers and then a late position raise. I think about raising to knock out some of the limpers but it is late and people are in the mood to call. In addition I don’t want to get 4 bet out of position. I heard Mike Sexton say these middle pairs are the hardest hands to play.

The flop comes 889.

Another good line:

[ QUOTE ]
I played pretty well in the middle of the tournament. I kept busy stealing and gradually grew my stack. With eight people left and 200k chips in play I had about 40k of them. I kept the throttle down and reraised a lot of opening bets. The “pro” new I was raising light but he would never do anything about it, except get mad and talk smack. He ended up busting out 7th, with only five spots paying.

When the sixth player busted I had 70k of the 200k chips. I was playing great, I could almost feel the first place money in my pocket.

As I collected the money for finishing in fifth place I realized I may have made some mistakes.

It's soy, but grapeseed oil's is even higher.

Let's turn this into my own 'Dr. Bison'

I like Jesse Brinkley to win. Which means he will lose this week. After that, tell me who you DON'T like, so I can root for them and they will be gone.

I do what I can to give back to the masses.

Canola.

I used to work at a Mexican food restaurant whose motto was,

"Hola Canola" (no lie)

The owner had an interesting hiring philosophy. The more attractive the girl the closer in proximity her work area was to his. It turned out to be poor in design because the sexual harassment lawsuits finally drove him out of business.

Another gem:

[ QUOTE ]
I really liked the Wynn’s poker room. It wasn’t too crowded and the chairs were comfortable. Scotty Nguyen was walking around while I was playing. He looks just like he does on tv, although his wife looks a lot different. On tv his wife looks older and fatter with blond hair. In real life she is young and thin with dark hair. I can only assume it was his wife since they were making out in the hallway, classy.

Now, that is a trip report. I loved this part:

[ QUOTE ]
I sat across from a nice guy whose wife was sitting behind him. I could not play at my best because I spent so much time staring at her cans. She wasn’t fat but she wasn’t thin either. I don’t feel bad about looking at them because if she didn’t want to be looked at she wouldn’t have put them on display like that.

For dinner we headed to CraftSteak in the MGM. This was the best meal I had on the trip. We got the Kobe beef tasting for the entire table. It was great. I think Kobe is Japanese for damn good steak.

Just on the off chance that someone doesnt know.

You deserve to know. No info on the matter is petty.

That is Miss Alba in a scene from Sin City. AWESOME MOVIE.

I am not surprised if its not doing well. I forgot to mention that it is kind of artistic, and has a sundance feel. This movie is not for everyone. The director uses a black light a lot.

The audiance that it will appeal to is a more cult film crowd.

A couple sat down and played a little while when the subject of poker came up. The woman asked where the poker room was and I said “Just walk around looking for the most unhygienic grumpy people in the casino. They will have $2000 in front of them and be arguing about $1.” The dealer and the floor man laughed out loud at that one.

I think that was the idea. It was a great movie. Much better than most attempts to recreate a comic book.

I think that I need help. You see, Im 27, 6'2, 375 lbs, have never been laid, and I suck at poker. I sell drugs for a living and in turn lose it at the tables. People have also told me that I carry an offensive odor.

Please...I beg you. Im a loser.

You are screwed. Woman hate fat, poor, stinky guys. In fact if a girl were to rate her Top 4 needs it would be 1) Personality/Kindness (although this is a blatant lie) 2)Looks (although this is really #2 on the modified scale) 3)Money (this is the true #1) 4) Lack of body odor/physical abnormality.

My advice, move to CA and move in with Yugo. You may seem like a better catch just by comparison.

I laughed hard at this part.

[ QUOTE ]

The highlight of the night was the drunk/crazy guy flipping out. The 3rd hand I am at the table, me, crazy, and the guy two to my left get into a pot. Crazy bets the turn, I raise to knock out the remaining player and get a free showdown if I miss (pair plus flush draw). Third guy folds but crazy bets the river. I missed my flush so I muck. This hand was nothing exceptional and it was the first hand I had played.

The guy who I knocked out on the turn was asking what I had and why I raised, blah blah. This causes the crazy guy to stand up and yell,”You two are colluding and won’t get the rest of my money.” He stands up, picks up his chips and storms off while yelling about collusion.
