Take advantage of bonuses while they last

My research: Based on $100 Deposit (alpabetical order)

AmericasCardroom: 25% Deposit Bonus on all first deposits, until Nov 30, maximum bonus $100, first purchase only, must play 400 raked hands before cashing out, 5-6 hours at real money tables.

DynamitePoker: 20% Deposit Bonus on any deposit, until Nov 30, maximum bonus $60, 1 purchase only, must play 100 raked hand for .75 cents to earn bonus or earn TPs in tournament play, 2-3 hours at real money tables.

PokerStars: 20% Deposit Bonus on Neteller deposits, until Dec 1, maximum bonus $120, 1 purchase only, must play 100 raked hand for $1.00 to earn bonus or earn FPPs in tournament play, 2-3 hours at real money tables.

UltimateBet: 20% Deposit Bonus on Neteller deposits, until Dec 2, maximum bonus $50, 1 purchase only, must play 5 hours at real money tables before cashing out.

Did I forget any?

I personally have taken advantage of all the above. Good sites to play on. My advice is not to rush in and play, but to wait for a good game to play. Although ACR and Dynamite have a small selection of games, they are usually good action. Stars and Ultimate games are generally tighter, but with more games going its not to difficult to find a good game.

Actually at Pokerstars you must earn one FPP for each dollar of your qualifying deposit, so to earn the maximum bonus of $120 you must deposit $600 dollars and then play 600 raked hands ($1 minimum rake). If you can do this in 2-3 hours your nick here should be 'speed rater'. Go, speed rater, go!

You are right if you want to earn the full bonus of $120. The hours of play however was based on a $100 Deposit. It is also based on actively playing in only 1 game, and not 2 or more games at the same time.

Another interesting point is that you will obviously have to play less hands to earn the bonus in a loose game, as the rake will get up to the minimum level more often.

I think that's true. You can probably get away with playing $1/2 in a loose game because IIRC there has to be a $20 pot to generate a $1 rake.

For quick points I recommend you play
- PokerStars, Holdem $3/$6 or $5/$10
- ACR, 7 Stud Hi-Lo $4/$8
- Dynamite, Holdem $2/$4
