Take your average run-of-the-mill 2+2er. How many of them could you take?

I say 4. Discuss.

Which forum?

I figure I could take 2 OOTiots, 4 or 5 Mid/High-Stakes posters and up to two dozen WPT Forum posters.

"All of them."

Actually, in all seriousness, out of OOT, I'm guessing 3.

Well you're pretty skinny and probably don't have interest in fighting anyhow, so that's reasonable. The mean should end up being about 1, I think, though I bet it'll be more than 2.

Interesting that 'take' is always assumed in the physical sense.

In my case it is much more than 4. Or, to put it another way, there are probably only 4 of all the 2+2'ers now in existence that could 'take' me.

And you are not one of them, sorry to say, Mr. Duke.

Do you really expect 2+2ers to be able to attack you in a coordinated fashion? They can barely hold their heads up.
When the first 2+2ers gets whupped, the others are just going to run away or start to cry. Provided that I get to wear a cup, I think that the answer is "all of them".

I could take about 7 - one in the front seat, and 6 in the back of the pickup -

but where do you want me to take them?

Unless you're an extremely good fighter, taking on 2 semi-competent people would be very hard. Taking on more than 2 would be a very very very difficult.

I assume you mean "how many could you take at once?" Probably about .5, but who knows, from what I've read some 2+2ers are so fat that I might be able to tire them out enough to beat them. I probably underestimate how incredibly unathletic some 2+2ers are too, so hmm. I guess I'll say 1.
-James

EDIT: Also, is this in a confined space? Because otherwise I could probably just keep running until the average 2+2er got tired out and beat them 1 by 1 in their wearied state.

felson

Agreed. I might be erring on the side of them being "small, scrawny, never took a punch in their life."

And I fully agree about it being difficult. I'm not only much bigger than average (though I'm certain there are people larger than me), I spent many years learning how to incapacitate people very quickly.

Make them a little bigger or more competent on average and my '4' would drop to 3 or 2 rather quickly.

I assume he's built like Bolo from Bloodsport. If that were the average 2+2er I'd have to say 1 as well, and that's hoping that he doesn't know how to fight.

Obviously, all else being equal, the bigger and stronger guy will win. But if one guy is built like a brick shithouse and doesn't know how to fight at all, a little skinny dude with the right training could kill him. Maybe not beat him up, but kill him.

It's more difficult to beat someone up without causing permanent damage than to just incapacitate them.

~D

I'd say facing one, I'll win about 90% of the time. Facing two, maybe more like 20%. Facing three...maybe 5%.

CCass
05-05-2005, 02:48 PM
1, no more than 2.

Remember, for every Evan, Bruiser, and Dead that you think is smaller than normal, there is probably an equal number of 2+2'ers that are bigger than usual.

Since I partialy misinterperted your remarkable post, due mainly to may sparse posting, lackluster effort to keep up with lastest OOT Forum gossip and goings on, brain cell disease, and paucity of cranium space and brain matter utilitization; my initial post lacks the full power I wanted and falls rather limp in the dust. Still, I could take on just about all and have no remorse of killing everyone with a modern fifty-caliber gattling gun that shoots 1,000 rpm. That's just the type of person I am.

That said, it is a human trait that physical dominance is a default posture of most humans with all the sexual over and under tones attached to it. Nothing new in that.

Taking on the sexual aspect would be interesting. Say I had sex with a female donkey, a male ape, and an empty coke bottle. If someone does 'better' have I been 'taken'? Completely rhetorical question.

The gamesmanship of intellecually 'taking someone' or being 'taken by someone' is an ever present battle on this and every other 2+2 forum. David Hume, possibly, could win a battle with me, but since he is roasting in Hell the test will not come until I join him there. I hope to see you in Hell also Mr. Duke and you can referee the contest.

Best Regards,

Le Misanthrope
