Party Poker 15/30 Hold'em (9 handed)
Preflop: Hero is UTG with A/images/graemlins/club.gif, A/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
Hero raises, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, MP2 calls, 3 folds, SB calls, BB calls.
Flop: (10 SB) 5/images/graemlins/club.gif, 7/images/graemlins/club.gif, 4/images/graemlins/heart.gif (5 players)
SB checks, BB bets, Hero raises, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls, SB 3-bets, BB folds, Hero calls, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls.
I only called the 3-bet because there were too many cards that would beat me: any club, 8, or 3. SB's checkraise looked like he was pumping a draw (specifically, a 6), but I very well could have been behind to a set/straight, in which case, I'd be drawing almost dead. Are there any arguments for capping/folding?
Turn: (11.50 BB) 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif (4 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, UTG+1 calls, MP2 folds.
I called SB's bet to see what the rest of the field would do. It seems to me like a pretty stupid play to checkraise the raiser with top pair 7s on the flop, so I figured that the 7 didn't help him. I was afraid that it may have helped the others though.
River: (14.50 BB) Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, UTG+1 calls.
I only called here because I figured if I was behind to SB's 7, I could save a bet. If I was ahead, I could get an overcall from UTG+1. (From the previous hands I've played with UTG+1, I was pretty sure he was going to overcall if I called.)
Final Pot: 17.50 BB
Is there any spot where I might have been better off raising and folding to a 3-bet?
