Trying to put a new CD together cause I'm sick of the same 3 CD's I got in my car right now. Looking for new hot [censored] so if you know any, let me know.

Thanks,
Iggy!

CD so far :

1)Kanye - Diamonds Are Forever
2)Black Sheep - The Choice Is Yours (ain't a cd without 1 oldskool tip)
3)Biggie & Jigga - I'ma Hustla (I usually hate these fake remixes but this was done real nice)
4)Common, Scarface & Mos Def - Corner remix
5)Game - New York New York (I like this track for some reason)

I like some stuff I hear from Game and some stuff I just can't stand. Easily the best song on the album is Dreams, which I notice they just made a video for.

Meh...

Maybe if I had the album and I got the flow of the music I'd like this song, but for now it's nothing special and doesn't get placed on the CD.

These are songs I would listen to in my house... not really car songs. I don't like to get too deep in the car. It's pretty much all about the beats and the catchy hooks.

I'd suggest

Jurassic 5 - Jurass Finish First
Tribe Called Quest - Buggin' Out (there's another older one for you)
Madvillain - Figaro (Stones Throw remix)

I'm probably the biggest fanboy of Jay-Z there is so I'm definitely not rocking some Jigga diss-track.

Jigga did Nas a favor bringing him back up... and then Nas puts out that horrible double album Streets Disciple.

It's quite sad when you take what Nas was and compare him to what he is now...

I can't stand Jay-Z. I'll pop in one of his tracks occasionally but he can't hold a candle to Nas.

50 cent - patiently waiting

great song

Just include that one somewhere on the CD.

50 cent- In Da Club

I like Eminem's new album. You got that ? Encore.
50 Cent's new album is awful in my opinion, though so don't waste your time, there.

Also,

Runnin' - Pharcyde
Check the Rhyme - Q-Tip

Tribe is my hip-hop "litmus test" at bars/clubs. If they play Tribe, it's all good(it's mainstream enough to be played, yet underground and pure enough to get props).

There's a remix/remake of this where they use the Mya - Fallin' updated beat and hook with new lyrics from Fatlip & Tre. If you don't have it, you should go download it as it's a great joint.

These might be a little difficult to download but...

Snoop - Groupie Luv (DJ AP Remix)
Jay Z - 03 Bonnie and Clyde (DJ Crooked Remix)

The Jay Z one is unbelievable, and Im not even a huge Jay Z fan, or a fan of that particular song...its remixed with the beat from "Everyday People" by Arrested Development

I'll put my standard Gravediggazz reference that I put in any hip hop thread.

Here's some of the stuff for the car and background party [censored].

Jayz - Brooklyn's Finest
Jayz - Ain't no Ni**a
Jayz - Lucifer

Pep Love - Act Phenom (one of the hottest beat, i must've listened to this song on repeat for a few days)

Young Gunz - Friday Night (a majority of Just Blaze's productions have a party beat)

Jedi Mind Tricks

Beatnuts - Se Acabo Remix ft. Meth

DJ Honda - On the Mic

Dr. Dre - Still Dre (I'd never play this in my car but it's a guilty pleasure)

Gangstarr - Victory

Mos Def - Mathmatics or Ms. Fat Booty. Speed limit makes a ok 3rd option.

Nina Sky - Whoa (more of a club beat than driving)

Tupac - Hit 'Em Up

I'll have to look into other's suggestions here.

Not that I don't appreciate a lot of your suggestions...

but most of the songs being named are the songs I've played out and trying to get away from.

That's why I'm looking to make a CD of new hot joints... I'm just not having much luck /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Man, if you listened to people's suggestions you would A- have a CD that didn't resemble hot new [censored] at all B- made the uncomfortable transition from Kanye to Imortal Suckass.

Does the Game have a "New York New York" song too- or are you thinking of Ja-Rule?

I agree with Envy Me, even though I think Game is trash, that song is nice.

No he has a track... it's his attempt to go after Ja & Jada. The song isn't anything great, but I like Game's voice to the beat.

First things first, that Diamonds song by Kanye is by FAR the worst joint he has made. Secondly, you can have a CD filled with new songs, but it will not reach the maximum potential without at least one song by Tupac on it. I recommend Rather Be Your N.I.G.G.A. If you are looking for newer stuff, try track 16 (sorry, can’t remember the name) on Lil’ Jon’s Crunk Juice CD. It is the track featuring R. Kelly and Ludacris.

It's the worst chorus he's ever done, but I like the rest of the song.

How can you front on

"If you're a stripper named Porshe and you get tips from many men, then your fat friend, her nickname is minivan"
