Price range up to $450 . I'd like to get a HDTV for cheap if possible. Not a plasma but something high end. Not RCA, either. Those suck. I've heard good things about Toshiba and Philips Magnavox so I'm definitely looking at those brands. Anyone bought a new TV that they are really satisfied with ? I was also looking at some of these TV's that dual as a computer monitor and Television. That would be nice. Also, I'd like it to be at least 25 " . Anti-glare would be nice. What is so great about LCD TV's ?

Surely you jest! $450 and high end HDTV do not go in the same sentence.

I'm sure you could find something in the 9" range for that price. Have you even looked at tv's for sale?

You might be able to get a HDTV ready 27 inch crt. A quick search shows j&r (http://http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=3973895)
might be a good dvd viewing set.
I don't know how much HDTV is worth on small sets. If you can come up with a bit more walmart (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=2601425&sourceid=2923440616 0514989066)

I have no recommendations, just thought it might help.

i'm guessing this could be a joke but just in case its not, i'll point out that you won't find a 25 inch+ high end hdtv set for 450 dollars. mk thx.

He said 'if possible', and enough people have already flamed him for this. I will also add that you won't find a tv that can be used for a computer screen for less than 1K, unless you want some horrible resolution. You can find a few tvs in this price range that are decent sized and come hdtv ready though.

Why does my question seem like a joke ? My TV went out today and I'm going to be out looking at TV's tomorrow. I did find a Toshiba that dualed as a computer monitor. Here is the link. I'll also post the link of some other TV's that I'm considering.
(probably my favorite one but don't think it acts as monitor)

my old one is a 19" and I wanted to get something around 25 " .

If I can find those Sharp TV's that dual as monitor and TV at 25" then that could be a definite buy. Will I use it as a monitor, though ? I don't know but if I ever 8 table, it would come in handy.
