Ouch - I hate those situations when your flush gets out kicked by the 2nd card. The worst is when you have an AQ flush and the villan has a hidden AK flush.

Put yourself in the other guy's shoes. It should be obvious to anyone that there's a reasonable chance that you have a straight. Mike doesn't appear to have a low hand (he did bet that Nine, after all). One might reasonably conclude that he has a medium straight beaten, most likely with a flush. So the other guy should probably have a flush beaten to three-bet. I would want a higher flush than his to three-bet myself, but many $1/2 players don't really think these things through. The nice thing about four-betting in Mike's spot is that the other guy can't re-raise, which he could in most live games. Also, the other guy could have a low, in which case raising gains you nothing.
