This seems to be coming up a lot for me lately and it is a spot I am still unsure of.

Situation: you raise a 1 card draw and get 1 caller, and after the first draw you make a roughish or decent 9, and the opponent drew 2. Is this hand a favorite over a smooth 1 card draw that has two chances to make it? How big of a favorite against a 2 card draw with two shots?

Out of position, say you lead and he calls, do you break or stay pat?

In position, if he checks, you bet, and he calls and draws 1, do you stay pat or try and break? What if he draws two???

An OOP example:

hero: Jc 3h 2c 8c 5d
guy: -- -- -- -- --
a: -- -- -- -- --
B: -- -- -- -- --
c: -- -- -- -- --
d: -- -- -- -- --

First Round:

x folds. hero raises to $.50.
guy calls. x folds. x folds.
x folds.

hero takes 1 card. guy takes 2 cards.

hero: 3h 2c 8c 5d 9c
guy: -- -- -- -- --

Bet this and rap pat?

Thanks for any thoughts guys.

I lead. If I'm raised I draw 1 to an 8, if he just calls I rap pat and see what he does on the draw.
