I must admit to being confused midway through this hand. Initial read on villan was 40 / 15 / 1.0

I'd be check folding this. The pot will just be 7BB if the villian bets, and I don't think you'll be good 1-8 here

I think i'd bet/fold this. I'm not giving him credit for a A,K or 3. He's shown no strength this far and with a VPIP of 40 there are a lot of hands you are ahead of, he could have picked up a backdoor flush draw on the turn, he could have a middling to smallish pair. With an aggression of 1 i doubt he's gonna pop it even if he does have an A. I expect to take this down for a bet more then 18% of the time so yeah i like betting and folding to a raise.

I'm still thinking about this hand and i'm changing my opinion the check/call. Bet/folding blows because you're not going to push him off of a K bad kicker and the only hands that are calling beat you. Altough if you do check i'd expect him to bet any two cards the vast majority of the time, so i think a calldown is warrented.

I think you can check call, with that high an aggression and with such a weak check, I could see him betting almost any 2 cards here...I think you have to call

smells like a mid pair IMHO. I think a bet/fold isn't such a bad line.

I'm not folding on the river.. I'm check/calling.

hmm, maybe not so easy. Maybe I'm partial to the bet-fold line?

Final Pot: 11 BB

Its what I was planning on here. Does the presence of both the A and K in hand 1 make it more of a check-call?

My pre-flop 3 bet?

I think check/folding against this opponent would be pretty bad. I would check/call and hope he'll bluff.

I totally agree w/ b/f. mid pps will call u down. he's not going to bet with those given the board. There is a chance he will bluff, so i don't particularly like c/f either.

I agree. Check-call should be standard here.

Bet-fold is a good idea. But I prefer check-call to this - one of the reasons is, that you can't be the victim of a pure bluff (I know that's improbably, but it happens!). Free showdown is nice and you can instignate him to bluff. Bet-fold has the benefit, that he will sometimes call with middle pair, with which he probably wouldn't bet. I think it's close between check-call and bet-fold.

I've only been playing this game for 6 months so I appreciate all the thought behind the different strats. I need some positive thoughts after losing a bunch on pocket Qs to pocket Ks three times in the last 5 days. thank you all
