As you will see the table was a bit loose agressive

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
BB has Kd Ad (two pair, kings and jacks).
Hero has 4s 4d (four of a kind, fours).

Did I play this too fast? I figured for sure with the PF action that 1 or 2 people hit something good.

Not much you can do if he's going to check/raise like that.

Edit: I suck.

Hero is closing the action on the flop. Checking would be bad here. There's no guarantee that BB is going to raise here, and people may still call two cold anyway given how big the pot is.

It's too bad someone else didn't bet into that flop, but that's not hero's fault.

You're right, I misread the hand. You played it fine then, just blame the guy with AK for check/raising you.

All things considered, I think you're fortunate that he called down. And given the way the preflop action went, I don't see how else you can play it...you just have to hope that he does have the overpair that he's representing, and that he'll continue to play back at you.

Everyone seems to agree that you got the max out of it and that your play was the only one correct. I dunno.

You "know" that when you bet the flop, BB, who is on your left side will raise facing everyone with 2-cold. On a drawless flop like that you have to have a pretty strong hand to call 2-cold like JJ or AJ and MP3 (the preflop 3-bettor) has checked before you.

I would have checked the flop trusting the preflop capper to bet and hoping to get all the mid position players in for the ride
