Maniac here is 90/36/3 over 50 hands. He's got no real reasoning to his chip dumping, a couple hands back he decided to cap the turn with an OESD against my overpair.

I'm fairly certain my hand is good throughout this entire thing, but how many bets do you put in before you just start calling down? Preflop, the flop, and turn here, the river should be automatic.

Even maniacs get cards, he can have a Q in his hand...I would probably call his turn bet and then call his river bet (if he bets out) or bet if checked to on river

I play it the same way. I make it 3 on the flop, then definitely sneak in another raise on that turn. Then I call the river (or value bet). Not raising that turn would be a mistake against a guy like this, IMO.

This play is totally dependent on how maniacal the guy is. Just don't fold.

I think I'm calling down after the flop cap. Even maniacs get dealt queens sometimes.

What is the purpose of the turn raise here? Are you testing for a flush draw? (Because it sounds like that little piece of finesse would go over this guy's head) Or are you so confident that you're ahead that this is purely for value.

I'm not saying I hate the way you played it, but it sure takes some big brass ones to keep pushing back at a guy like this when a pretty common overcard flops.

River bet seems correct, although a c/r would suck here.

This guy is going to be pushing his hand no matter what cards are out there, and the chances are my nines are better than what he has. I'm ahead of far more hands than I'm behind. I was going to raise any card for value lower than a 9, and call down if another overcard came.

While we're on the subject, I give you a little worthless trivia (http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a2_146.html) , from one of my favorite websites.

Eh, with top pair i might push this. Even the laggiest of maniacs will have a hand once in a while. Check call the whole day down after the flop IMHO. Folding isn't an option for me, but neither is bleeding chips.
