BB bets and raises alot of hands, so I thought this was the best line, with check/raising river a close 2nd... lead river or check/raise? I dont think he'll give me credit for quads, so he might bet with any pair over 77, then again, with that reasoning he could easily raise my river bet, so I like leading

Your post flop play is good.

I don't see pulling off a river c/r. Lead is good.

Nice hand. I doubt there is much chance of getting him to bet at this, and even if he does he might fold to the check/raise anyway.

I disagree. I think it is rather reckless to be perfectly honest. We are getting our poop pushed in if the villian has AK/KQ/KJ, and we risk folding out a hand like QQ/JJ/etc. Just because we have trips doesn't mean that our hand is any good.

Hero's read on villain was that he was an idiot and liked to bet and raise.

Is this a standard call in the SB? Because I haven't been making it.

If this is actually the case, then trying for a check/raise isn't good. 3-bet the flop and keep betting. If anything is going to slow him down, it is going to be a turn check/raise.

The only difference IMO between 3 betting the flop and check raising the turn is 1 less SB in my pocket, they both send the same message (hey dumbass, I have trips)

As for the PF call, yes its probably a little loose, but I figured dope in BB would come along and give me a little more pot equity and implieds. Besides, at 2/4 the button raises when folded to like 90% of the time, my KT very well could be the best hand

Not really. You will get much better results by bypassing all check/raise opportunities. Against a player like this, the best option might be to just call the flop raise and then try for a bet/3bet on the turn.

can you explain why bypassing check raising spots and giving away my hand on the flop is better???

I said that my read on BB was that he plays hands very aggressively, not that he was a complete moron

Heads up I think the smooth call the flop and try for two on the turn. It looks like AA or QQ to me
