ok, so usher rolls back into town, and we go drive around and check out LA, etc. then when we get back to commerce, he goads me into another brilliant session of pai gow. i, raptor, wanted to play some 5-10 NL, but NOOOOOOOOOO. the incessant nagging, 'we can beat it this time!!!' says usher. i say 'no dude, thats not smart.' so anyways, we both buy in for 1200 total, and sit down. we start betting 50 per hand, nice small amount, run up a couple hundo. then the bank rolls around. DURRRRRRRRRR. we lose everything in 2 hands.
ok, so now were thinking. great. were stuck now. i hate life. so naturally, i reach into my pocket, and usher runs to the atm. were back in action with no hands missed and a fresh eight hundo to have another go. we dont bank this time (wisely, its rigged) so we decide to spread our 'wealth' around the table. DURRRRRRRR. we lose every hand again.
ok, so overall me and usher are a combined 12k loser at the pai gow table.. in the last 2 sessions. so what have we learned from this? bring more money next time. the way i see it, we HAVE to outrun the variance at some point. so if we keep coming back with MORE money we CANT lose, right? RIGHT?????????!!?!??!?!?!!! ok ok. no more pai gow for at least 2 weeks. once i build some more roll, well come back with a full 12k between us to take shot #3. i predict much greater success. holla

no, no, its still a bad thing, u missed out on some good high limit poker. which is really pointless to even play if im pretty much gonna flip an unfair quarter for 10k. holla

the curse of the white man at the pai gow tables.. this is something that definitely makes sense. i bring horrid luck to everyone around me at the pai gow tables. it MUST be because im white. ok, so next time, i get my hair cut real short, get a tan, and close my eyes. then i can have GOOD luck. and as for blackjack, they dont have real blackjack at commerce, otherwise i would DEFINITELY be playing that. its only SLIGHTLY rigged.
oh, and btw, i just turned usher over to the dark side of the 215s. holla

I'd have to be clearing ungodly amounts of money to drop 12k at a casino game and then admit to it. Even raptor can't be clearing as much as I'd need to do this.

dude, it didnt matter what 'strategy' i used. i kept getting 4 flushes, no pair, and Q high up top. so stupid.
as for losing 12k like its 12 bucks, trust me, it hurts. all i know, is that next time me and ush are gonna bring 16k between us and double it up so then well both be up in pai gow. bwahahahahahhaa

sleep? sleep is for the weak.. which is why i sleep like 20 hours a day.. however, i have to go apartment shopping in LA today, and i was busy getting my money back playing sngs all night, then i gotta catch a plane back to the durrrty south. holla

I know your joking, but occasionally in pai gow you can change your actions based on other peoples cards, depending on how strict the house is about people 'unintentionally' showing other players.
Also as a player banker I like to get a 'read' on the other players, if it looks like the have a tough decision, or a bad hand you can opt to either get aggressive (like splitting two pair), or play it house way depending on your read.
Damn I should write a book on pai gow.

I am now officially like 0/10 whenever I go halfsies with raptor on something. raptor = rigged.
