Any reason to Pre-Register for smaller WSOP events?

I just booked my hotel for June 9th-12th and I plan on playing in at least the 2k NL tournament on the 10th and I'm just wondering if I need to pre-register.
Does anyone have any information on the size expectations of the smaller buyins, if they would cap them, and if I need to go to the trouble of mailing a cashier check?
Otherwise I would handle the business the night I arrive on Thursday the 9th.

I expect you'll be able to register on the day before the event. There's certainly not reason to be registering months in advance.

I heard they are capping all of the non main events at 3200. I don't think you need to preregister. I was there at the beginning last year, and the tournaments don;t even get close to getting so full that their would be a concern. I'll be there early again this year, maybe I'll meet you at the final table. GL
