I just noticed that (from what i heard) partys going IPO so they hand to make a change. Supposedly now everyone has limits to 1k per week send or get. Anyone seen an official post about this? This is horrible ;(

Why is this horrible? Do you regualarly launder money through party or something?

Its horrible for me, I have alot of friends i lent money to, or BR'ed, that need to pay me back, and now i can only receive 1k a week...

Its the last thing im takeing from party, hasta luego!

uhh, checks still work, cash is still good. It's hard for me to believe anyone with $1000's of dollars at there disposal can't figure out a way to transfer money other than through Party.

I couldn't agree more.

ps. stars, paradise, and many other sites are excellent options.

Im a big money player, its nothing for me to send 2k a week to a buddy and him to send it back. I bank roll 5 people.. This blows

not everyone has accounts at these places. and i dont like to just use a site like stars for transfers without actually playing on their site.

i know there are other ways to transfer money, but it was so easy via party, and they stopped it for either no good reason, or some reason that doesnt pertain to me.

I recognize the inconvenience to you and it's unfortunate.

But Party is a poker room, not a financial institution. Whatever they need to do to prevent money laundering is what they should do. It's vital to them that they prevent misuse of their site by criminals.

I dont like this--I regularly use inter account transfers between my friends, and lending from site to site. This sucks

True. But once they go public, having limitless Interaccount transfers will be seen as a security glitch. You may use it for lending, etc, but it can also be used by criminals to transfers tens of thousands a week for money laundering (since there is no record of this except on Party). I don't lend money (or play on Party lately) so this doesn't affect me.

Especially if they ever want to become legal in places like America...

No you cant transfer between party and empire.

The max, I dunno, I got $6k weekly limit, but maybe the # is in proportion to your bankroll? Not sure, I know one person with $8k limit, and don't really ask other people.

I've heard second-hand that if you become a paypro "preferred member" and email Empire support, you can get your max there raised to $3k. I can't verify that though.

I had an 8k limit, was dropped to 3k a few days ago. I am a Preferred Member.

This was on PokerNOW though, so I figured the new management had something to do with it.

My empire affiliate recently said it was an across the board policy change. Considering the fact that he transfers way over 30k a month (and he was told of a daily max and a monthly (or weekly max) that was far above the limit this was a huge problem for him. Obviously he can transfer some via neteller or firepay, but he is also working to re-up his max transfer amount. I support him in this, since it's easier for me for him to inter-transfer it and for me to IGMPAY it to my bank account.

Are you a loanshark?

Or do you just continually supply these winning players with money?

Do you teach poker? Part of the course should be bankroll management.
