View Full Version : Action Flops at Party Poker Skins???

i have been playing poker at many sites,
for example, prima, party poker skins, full tilt, pacific, and poker star.
my friends and i felt that especially party poker skins have "actions flops", which happened to be that usually the 2nd best hand will be up against the best hand, full house vs. quads, smaller straights vs. bigger straights...etc.
and it happens just about everyday.
moreover, i have seen 4 pocket aces in 15 mins, AA,KK,QQ,and JJ at the same time, trips with good but not top kicker lose many times.
there are 2 major benefit for the site to do that,
it was a business decision, in order to make the sites more money in rake or to give new players artificial luck, so they get sucked into the site.
first of all, suck a lot of rakes in,
secondly, many real "gamblers" will stay at the site.
what do u guys think about the "action flops" on the internet?
which site do u think that has the most "action flops"?
is it real in real casinos??
someone who plays at both casinos and online poker rooms a lot can probably answer this question well.
thanx

The answer is no. This is a ridiculous statement. Get pokertracker. Track 100K hands. The flops are legit. You just play way way way more hands online, so you see a bunch of crazy stuff.

I doubt you'll get many responses to this, because everyone else is tired of hearing it.

if people are tired of hearing my question,
i would like to apologize for that.
but plz vote the poll, thank u.
i am very new to the site!
thanx

Agreed.

I only have ~50K hands in my PT database but here are some of my numbers anyway...
AA - 238
KK - 233
QQ - 245
JJ - 241
TT - 240
AKs - 152

That's very close to what a truly random distribution predicts. And people with a larger sample size will have their numbers even closer.

I voted yes, but mostly because I liked the word "lucks".

yes i see ur point.
but,
can trach the probability of AA vs. KK preflop?
smaller stragihts vs. bigger straights?
full house vs. quads?
...etc,
if u cant,
how do u know the site is not giving artificial luck?
thanx

there are more important things to spend your time thinking about.

Bottom line is this.

Party Poker needs us to play poker there for a LONG time. Gaining .50$ worth of rake is not worth breaking me and having me go broke with top boat over second top boat.

You see what I'm saying?

"how do u know the site is not giving artificial luck?"

There is really no way to be sure you are getting a fair deal. The statistical tests will never prove honesty but might prove dishonesty to a certain degree.

Are you getting a fair deal? Probably but I'm the wrong man to ask since I trust no one.

I laughed out loud when I read that.

To the original question: Yes...the party-skins have the 'funny' flops...but only the skins. The flops on regular party are legit. Stay away from the skins.

Maybe my math are wrong, but anyway :

0.45 % chance to have AA
x10 person= 4.5 %
4.5 % x 22 hand = 99 %.

You are suppose to see AA every 22 hand on long handed.

Am I wrong?

5 fingers on a hand. 2 hands on a body. So I should have 10 fingers?

It's not actually really that funny. It's "more or less" (with a bias towards less) correct although it shouldn't be calculated that way.
4.5% x 22.22222222222222 hands = 100%
But it's definitely not 100% certain that you will get an AA in 22.22 full ring deals.

The probability of one AA in 22 deals 10 handed is:
1 - ((1 - (1 / 221))^220) = 0.631286049

now someone correct me if I'm wrong

The point is..what does this have to do with FLOPS???

1-2 % cheating means party doubles there profit, if anyone recognize that they cheat it can kill there business. Both is possible:)

It has nothing to do with flops. Thats why I asked about the point with his post in my other post.

last night while playing live, I got quads followed by (the very next hand) flopping a full house. Live is definetaly rigged
