pretty much the only non syndicated show I watch is House, other than that I just watch baseball and 10 episodes a week of CSI reruns. I'll have to check out this Grey's Anatomy.

Not anymore. Read your New York Times -- television writing, direction, and acting has entered an age (thanks to budgets, advertising, and production values -- not to mention SAG and AFTRA perks) where it can compete both artistically and intellectually with the motion picture industry. Episode 5 of THE SHIELD this season is as good as any movie that has been released in six months.

Anyway, these are the types of comments made by people who don't watch much TV. Figures. Good to know you're well educated on the matter. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

In no order: Deadwood, Sopranos, Carnivale, Six Feet Under, Curb Your Enthusiasm

see a trend?

As for non-HBO stuff, only series I watch are 24, The Shield, and The Simpsons. All 3 of those though seem to be going into decline mode.

#2 - House

#3 - Amazing Race (Rohhhb n Ambahh can act with the best of them)

I guess when I say I like the daily show, what I mean is that I like Jon Stewart. I think that the beginning of the show is always great, I could do without the taped segments with the weird reporter pieces, they're mostly just typical dick and fart jokes.

I think Stewart is great at pointing out the hypocrisy in gov't and the media.

I didn't say it. But I watch this show. Thank goodness the internet is anonymous, because I do have a penis.

Grey's Anatomy is my frontrunner for rookie of the year. I'm not completely sure if this show doesn't have the same problem as the one immediately above, but I like it.

I might like to get into these shows, but something (started watching too late, etc.) is stopping me:

Arrested Development
The OC

There is no way The Simpsons is still one of the ten best shows on TV. It has been terrible throughout most of this season.

I haven't watched Deadwood, Carnivale, House, Desperate Housewives, or Lost, and after reading this thread, I get the feeling that I'm missing out.

I officially quit watching Smallville this season. There isn't a show that I've watched that's fallen off like it has.

my house is in the airforce and this also is his reason for not watching the show...

2) using this as an excuse to not watch an amazing and addiction drama is really lame

I watched three episodes before I figured out it's the same every week: Someone is dying. House has a theory. He "knows" what is wrong with them. If he's wrong, they die. The hospital administrator takes him off the case again. His assistant run around like rats in a maze until they prove he's right. The patient is saved. The end.

Did anyone watch American Dad? Did that suck or what? /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Why does CSI get increasingly worse with each new show? Caruso is terrible in Miami. And the New York show just sucks. With the exception of Sinise, no one can act on that show. They sould like they're reading cue cards.

24's been dragging a little recently. I still love it but the soap opera [censored] is too much. In the office it's all "I'm your boss." "No I'm your boss." "Did you sleep with him when we were still married?" etc. while Jack is effin' STABBING HIMSELF to improve his cover.

New ones still pop up every now and then, I would expect a new season to show up sometime in the next few months.

Also, there are a whole lot more than 15-20 Episodes. Food.com shows 8 seasons of about 15 episodes each. The most recent ones are form earler this year I think.
