Anyone playing? I'm at table 24 sitting with $6000. Half the field gone now.

Yes. I'm at table 28 with 5862. What's your name at Pacific?
Mine's the same as here.

It looks like you cant watch other tables while youre playing at Pacific.

When i registered with Pacific, they only allowed 8 characters, so I dropped the "g". I'm Mangatan.

Yeah, all you can do is check the chip amounts of players on other tables.

so you can see I just took a couple of hits

I was playing, but got rivered out by a chaser when about 1600 where left.

The beginning of the tourney was "pure" pacific... In my table only 2 hands were played in first ten minutes because of disconnections and strange delays.

Ya that happens a lot on Pacific doesnt it? I like the fish there, but the site sucks.

At table 29 with 8200 in chips down to 770 players.

Yes it does; and don't even try to contact the support, it's always YOUR connection that lags. My only reason to play in pacific is the fish /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks. I haven't been getting any cards the last hour. I'm only keeping my head above water by making some timely steals. I'm still hovering around $6000.

Finally! Made a big raise (4 big blinds) with AKo. Big Blind calls (semi-short stack). Flop comes J-high. BB goes all-in about 2 big blinds worth. I call, and I get runner runner to make broadway. Sitting with almost $10,000 now with 600 players left.

Payday! I get KK in late position. Big stack EP raises to $1000, MP calls, I go all-in with $9000. EP folds, MP calls (has me covered). He has QQ, and catches a Q, but I make broadway again on the river. Whew!!!!!!!

Break time. I have almost 29000 at table 47. Unusual for me to not make the horrible mistakes that I usually make when i get a healthy stack. Hope I can keep my game focused and not do anything stupid, but at the same time keep the aggression high.

Broadway did me wrong on the last hand before the 3rd break. I have KQo and come in for a minimum raise. Board comes with A and T. Check to river which was the J (putting 3 clubs on the board), someone goes all-in (short stack). I call, he turns over Ac3c. I'm now down to average stack of $12,000.

Time to get back to work.

38k at table 97, just doubled up with JJ vs AK because I'm dumb enough to risk my tournament on a coinflip.

Good luck Aces and Villa. I got lucky in a big preflop pot with 77. The board came 6-high, I made a big bet, and both others folded. I'm sitting at $20,000 with 350 players left.

I'm not sure if that is so dumb with the price structure in this tournament. The stack you got now gives you some good opportunities to build the stack further and get to the "real money".

Mangatang

Suck. I've got the table stack leader to my left. I can't make a single steal raise withoug him coming over the top. Time to sit back and wait for a ligit hand and pop him good.

17642 at the 4th break, playing too tight.

22k. Been having a couple of fights with the former big stack and a couple of steals that run into some hands. Need to start working soon.

Yeah, what's up with that? I think the minimum a payout should be is twice the buy-in (as a rule). /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Busted at 226. Not a good finish in this tournament - a couple of errors hurt my stack really bad and i had under 10 bb when i busted. /images/graemlins/mad.gif

Down to 36k, doubled up a shortstack with KJ when he had AQ. Gotta remember to not overcommit myself with steals. Or maybe not play KJ at all.

Who really wants to make 15-65$? I'd much rather see that money added to the 2nd and 3rd table to make them a little more worthwhile.

Only had 1 pocketpair over tens this whole tournament. Hope I'm saving em for the final table. . .

Out 197. I Tried to steal with J10 when I was short stacked and got called I pushed AI with Jxx on flop only to lose to QJ. Oh well. not bad for my first major MTT.

Gotta be careful what I wish for. Just got QQ and lost to a K on the river, down to 23K.

My table is super-tight now, but I can't make myself fire a steal attempt with stuff like QTo, KTo, etc. I'm sitting at $20,000 (less than 10 big blinds). I gotta make a move soon.

Damn it. I finished 120th. I finally got my AA, and pushed all-in, got called by 77, who hit a set on the turn.

SUCK!

Good luck acesover.

Ouch! Tough break, I'll try to bring it home if I can survive the blinds. At 24k, just opened up TPFAP to that 'system' chapter, gonna try that for a while. . .

Hope you do well. After 5 hours of play, that $275 feels like a slap in the face.

Out in 110th, all in preflop with 99 vs his AJ and we both make flushes. . .

Sorry.

Now I remember why I think multi-table tournaments are the devil himself.

Later.
