View Full Version : Did anyone else find that SS2 and that T.J. Cloutier + Tom McEvoy book

Did anyone else find these two titles utter garbage? Now, SS the original helped my game alot, and I have respect for the parts of SS II that were copied from SSI, but alot of the sections are just so 'beginner' when compared to Ed Millers book.

And the Tom McEvoy + Cloutier book... they have a section of practice hands, and don't even mention pot / stack size once.

Man what garbage.

I haven't read SS2 yet, mainly because the NL section is the same as SS1 and I already own it, but I thought TJs book was decent. Not total garbage, but nowhere near the best.

I hope you don't follow any of the advice in these books ... so I can take your money when I play with you! LOL
Have some respect for the work these men have put in to share their poker knowledge. I've read almost everything that these 3 guys have written and my poker game only continues to improve with each reading. If you think you know more, write your own book.
