Was this over 10 hands? 23% WTSD doesn't quite sound right here. If anyone can estimate or at least guess how many hands for a reasonable WTSD read to be accurate, I would appreciate it.

Standard deviation for the WSD% is equal to:

(WSD%)*(1-WSD%)/(%seenflop*hands)^(1/2)

So if in the above case we had 100 hands on villain and seenflop% was about 75%, then standard deviation = (0.27)*(0.73)/(75)^(1/2) = 2.28%

is raising 98s on the button standard? i know a lot of players talk about doing it for a plethora of reasons but to me, i rather just see a cheap multiway flop.

with 3 limpers do you think you have an equity edge with this hand?

i don't see how deception would be all that valuable in a multi-way 3/6 hand(most players good and bad basically autopilot).

Villain is a master of the value call.

Raising is pretty attractive to me here.

It's discussed a lot, along with raising mid and low pairs on the button after 3+ limpers. SSH or HEPFAP go over it a bit, but I've always read it as mostly an element of mixing up your play, although there are some reasons to do it. Probably just from personal choice I'm more liable to raise suited connectors than I am pockets.

Yeah I agree with the attractiveness of raising. You sometimes do get credit for a better hand than you hold, plus if you do make your hand its often the nuts or at least close enough to win you the big pot.
