This interview is from 1987 so many of you may not have seen it.

Glover may be best remembered as Marty McFly's dorky father in Back to the Future. But, in the Letterman interview, he puts the character to shame.

There's one thing he did, I forget what show it is on, that was a kind of multi-media thing, where he narrates his lifelong dream to find out what it was, and how it was done. And then, finally to pass it on to his daughter, so she would know what it was, and how it was done. It was really brilliant and funny, and totally different.

Jeez, I wish I had that to watch again.

That was hilarious and very strange. At first I thought he was trying to act like his character. Then it became clear that the acting was all too real.

he's aperformance artist. That video you linked to is a very famous clip....Glover is acting. But he is a bit of awacko.

He's been working on a film for fifteen years that finally debuted at Cannes last year - it's got an all-Downs Syndrome cast.

Are you sure about this?

Glover is definitely strange. He didn't get casted as George McFly in Back to the Future Parts II and III because of his strange behavior. (George McFly is seen. But, it's another actor.)

Wasn't he in a movie where he talked to rats or something?

wtf? Its well established that the letterman thing was an act. And he didn't do BTTF2/3 because he turned it down (for whatever weird reason), not that the producers didn't want him to reprise it.

The preview for this movie is absolutely insane. It's like one of those videos they make when they're making fun of artsy student films, except I think he's serious.

A must-see movie for Crispin Glover fans is Twister (not to be confused with the Helen Hunt movie).
