Ultimatebet.com now Magic Palace??????????

What's up with that? I just got got my ultimatebet jacket this week.

Everywhere that it said UB it now says Magc Palace. I redownloaded it today and the tables and everything say MagicPalace on them. Front screen says Magic Palace Poker powered by ultimatebet.com.

Not on my computer it doesn't, still says Ultimate Bet.

perhaps they are switching over, and the updates are being spaced jimbo..

they have recently "killed" ub-2 despite of the overwhelming success and acceptance </sarcasm>

this renaming could be a method of distancing themselves from a tarnished name, an attempt to revitalize a site that is languishing, or perhaps thebroker is crazy.

my bet is one one of the scenarios, just not sure which one yet.

The broker probably mistyped www.ultimatebet.com (http://www.ultimatebet.com) and was redirected to the bogus casino. I used to wonder who would ever fall for that trick? I no longer wonder!! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Okay, Im on the case.

What Ive found so far.

1) I got an upgrade, UB _IS_ Still UB

2) I searched for ultimate bet, number one hit was "magicpalace.ultimatebet.com

3) checked out the magic palace home page, it is identical at first glance to ultimate bets home page.

4) logged into ultimate, and went to ultimates home page, the statistics given regarding players logged in, and seated are identical on both sides.

So... now it gets interesting....

Read through the magic palace stuff, and noticed that in the small print, every time something mentions ultimate bet, the phrasing is "ultimate bet, or the ultimate bet powered cardroom".

They are using the ultimate help pages and stuff so didnt seem to extrodinary.

Then I went to ultimate bets home page and checked fine print.......

.... no mention of "the ultimate bet powered cardroom"

The plot thickens.....

Firstly it is possible for anywhere to carry the logo I assume!

Secondly, I will find out what they do one day, it may take a while because their hutmail account is a little slow to respond.

Nope I was playing with all the same regulars Onlinechamp, NicePair, and the rest of em. Try deleting then reinstalling.
