How bad did I play this? I'm pretty sure folding preflop isn't a good idea, since I certainly have reason to believe that I'm ahead of at least the pusher, and I have a bigger stack than him/her. But should I push preflop or on the flop? Folding with such pot odds, and pretty certainly finishing at least third seems to me pretty weak in hindsight.

Wow. Yeah, you don't fold with a pair given those odds and an almost automatic push from your opponent.

Two good options, IMHO: Push preflop, or call and push on any flop.
