I heard from the grapevine that he played in last night's highest step game on Party. He took 4th from what I remember hearing. Anyone know if this is true and if it is, what is his screen name? The only reason that I think it might be true is who else has the bankroll to get into one of those games? I am sure that there a few 2+2ers that have the dough to play, but not the bankroll.
I remember seeing Hoyt Corkins(hoytcorkins5) sitting there all day. Did he play in it? Is it the real Hoyt Corkins? Rojosox, did you get in? What place did you take?

He faked his death so he could get in more SNGs per day?

It's not that funny. Ben Affleck won a major tournament at Commerce. Barry Greenstein (http://www.barrygreenstein.com/player.htm) thinks he is pretty good.

Apparently he busted out with A9 when his full house got beat. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

It's kind of funny because if you watched the step 5 higher the railbirds at one time or another accused everyone at the table of being Ben Aflac -- and then they commended him for his work in Gigli.

I read the HH, Ben Affleck or not, this was a bad call in my opinion. The same guy "Genoa St" played in a Step 4 right after this Step 5.

Yeah, but I went through the hole on the 7 1/2 floor and played his hands for him.

It was a horrible call. You cant think your 9's are good. Not when so much is at stake. Heads up is a little different story but 2 all ins is a clear mistake.

How would anyone know if it was Ben Affleck? Would, if he played, actually come out and say, "hi, im ben affleck" ... doesn't make any sense. A couple of names in that tourney I didn't know who they were. I think that QQ / AT hand / 99 might haunt me for a bit. The What If's just run rampant through my head, if an Ace didn't hit, would I have ended up being in the $$$? Jared

That call was worse than:
Surviving X-mas
Jersey Girl
Paycheck
Gigli
Daredevil... well, maybe not that bad. But, it was really bad. It was worse than Dogma.

On an unrelated note....

Male Victim: [ groaning ] Great. I don't know which is worse: being in this accident, or being helped by the star of "Judge Dredd".

Stallone: [ somewhat exasperated ] Don't move, there's an ambulance coming.

Female Victim: Thank you so much. You're very kind.

Male Victim: Ah.. he's not that kind. Did you see "Cobra"?

Stallone: You know.. that movie actually got very screwed up in the, uh, editing, and..

Male Victim: [ screaming ] Aggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh....

Stallone: [ frightened ] What's wrong? What's wrong?!

Male Victim: ..gggghhhhhhh, I just remembered "Staying Alive"!

Stallone: Aw, hey, come on!

A few minutes after it ended I happened to open up the WSOP step 6 that was waiting to start and gbertell that got 2nd place was in there chatting with one of the guys... apparently he started with step ONE the day before... played 1 and 2 that night, and then 3 and 4 earlier in the day yesterday...

If he's telling the truth, that's pretty crazy... $30k
