On another forum I signed my name at the bottom of all posts.

No, it's not tedious. I have to force myself not to do it for other fourms, it's unconcious.

When rereading a post, if you want to add something at the very end, you'd type it and sign again unconciously. That's why he'd double sign.

Is because I finish my post, type my name, then realize I want to add something else. So I finish adding the text, sign the post again, and submit it without a preview.... Maybe I should work on my short term memory.
