View Full Version : Two players ejected tonight.

Man, who opened the doors to the asylum tonight?

Ejection #1:
I just finished my down at a table and moved on to the next. The table I just left was great - lots of action, everyone seemed to be having a great time and there were 3 generous dealers from 2 different casinos playing. Maybe 4 or 5 hands later, I hear a guy from that table FREAKING out, screaming and yelling. I look over to see one of the Blackjack dealers from a neighboring casino standing up and hurling racial slurs at a Hispanic girl at the table. He was REALLY going nuts. I mean he really looked like he was going to kill this girl.

The floor people and security are on him instantly and he's ejected immediately. This dealer actually had his "Mountain High Blackjack" shirt on, black pants and shoes, etc.. What a dipsh*t.

Apparently, he hit a gutshot on the river and beat the Hispanic girl who had 2 pair. The Hispanic girl said "You bastard..." under her breath. Witnesses say that she wasn't being aggressive or mean, it was more in a playful sort of way like "You got me man..." This girl plays almost every night and is cool as hell. I can’t imagine her being nasty - ever. Even if she was being nasty, it's no excuse for this guy to go berzerk the way he did.

And this dealer stands up in full uniform and rages away, spewing forth racial slurs for all of the poker room to hear. Every person in the room was looking at him. WTF was he thinking? /images/graemlins/blush.gif

Ejection #2:
Two grumpy Asian players (guy and girl) are verbally abusing me every hand (Omaha 8/B), throwing cards, throwing chips, etc. BTW, I only mention that they are Asian because I can hardly understand them except for the "Lousy dealer", "Bad dealer", etc. comments.

After a few hands I tell them "Please stop throwing cards and chips guys." They ignore me. A couple of hands later, a deck change is required because the guy tosses his cards and one flies off of the table. /images/graemlins/mad.gif

Other players at the table were saying things like "Let's just play cards" and "Isn't this supposed to be fun?" These two were out of control and affecting the game, so I wave the floor person over.

While the floor person is walking over, a player has had enough and gets up. The Asian guy has a Seat Change button and stands up to take the leaving players seat. He pushes his chips to seat 5 and walks around the table. He gets to seat 5 and whips the seat change button at me, hitting me straight in the chest.

The floor person was standing right there...instant ejection.

The guy demands that the Colorado Div. of Gaming get called because he swears that he didn’t throw the chip at me. LMAO - the whole table saw it.

The Asian chick freaked out even more of course, demanding that she be allowed to sit out until a "good" dealer comes in without getting a penalty for missing the blinds. The floor denies this ridiculous request of course. I gently toss a missed blind button her way when it's her BB and she refuses to answer my prompt for her blind.

An hour later, the CDOG arrives, interviews a bunch of us and tells the douchebag to accompany the security guy to the casino exit.

I really do not like seeing people being tossed out. I figure that the offenders, when telling the story to their friends, will warp any story to make it look we were the asssholes regardless of what the truth is, so we may lose players. On the other hand, if we allowed said douchbags to ramain, the decent people would not allow it and leave. Either way, it's a bad scene.

Whatever...interesting night though. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Boot 'em all. Good riddance. A-holes in poker rooms cause more problems than they are worth, and the only ones they are going to scare off after their ejections are their friends, who are probably A-holes too.

Glad to hear the room cares about keeping out riff-raff like this.

Most poker managers seem reluctant to eject the obnoxious, thinking that they are losing a customer. They don't see that allowing the creep to stay costs them a lot more than ONE customer, as the rest of the players decide that playing in this room with these idiots is not an enjoyable experience.

I am not Asian, but I also don't think it was necessary to single them out as Asian (making the wanker comment understandable). If he said that the offensive players kept calling him a lousy dealer with a thick accent that he could hardly understand, that would be sufficient. Identifying them as Asian adds absolutely nothing to the story. Arseholes come in all shapes and sizes.

Hogwash, he didn't mention it in any derrogatory fashion, but to help you imagine the scene. Statement of fact.

If they were foreign with thick accents, you may picture russian, turkish, scandanavian, israeli, mexican, etc. But whats the big deal if he points your mind to the right continient of origin. We all know that two rude people at a table does not indict a whole race.

I was avoiding any futher posting since the thread has already been hijacked on this perpheral point but your post made me laugh out loud. For the record -- All of those ejected were idiots deserving ejection regardless of their race, color or species. Now back to the other crap:

What is your problem??? This is not an overabundance of political correctness. The OP was self-conscious of identifying the folks as Asian -- he knew it was wrong -- that's why he felt the need to justify his identifying them as Asian with his "BTW, I only..." comment.

But if you need to hate someone to make you feel better about yourself, enjoy. (And I won't even comment on your blasphemy /images/graemlins/smirk.gif)

Holy crap. What a joke this is.

These two idiots were Asian, so what? I mentioned it to accurately describe the situation - I could barely understand them, which only made the situation worse.

If I just wrote "There were these two jerks at my table who I could barely understand...." it would not have painted a sufficiently accurate picture. There would have been replies like "Why couldn't you understand them?", "Were they drunk and slurring?", "Did they not speak English?", etc., etc. I guess then I would have had to have replied with a 1000 word PC description of these people without actually describing them accurately. Or I could do what I did and describe them with 6 words right here: Asians who I could barely understand.

We have MANY Asians playing in Black Hawk and most are cool as hell. Some are also jackasses. Many Irish-Americans, like myself, are cool as hell. Some are also Jackasses. There are jackasses from all over the world, but I think most folks are decent. I can see it now - "you're Irish but have a username of "juanez"....this must be racially motivated...

And I mentioned that the Hispanic girl was Hispanic because the jerkoff who was screaming at her was screaming rather derogatory racial slurs at her at the top of his lungs - it was a vital part of the description of the situation.

I think it's hilarious that not one of the replies here mentions this assshole and his bigoted slurs, but I get called a "wanker", etc.

I get a kick out of what some of you guys ASS-U-ME I think about people. Every mention or race, color, creed, etc. is ASS-U-MEd to be a racial slur these days. How about not judging me and taking a good at yourself for judging me inaccurately?

BTW, my hat goes off to the poster "imitation". His "big busted Asian woman bouncing her tits around" avatar was enlightening as to his respect for Asian women. And his comment that "subconsciously I [meaning juanez] want you to hate asian people like me, because Japanese killed my grandpa in WW2" was interesting.

You ever meet my garandpa? Or me for that matter? My grandpa died 6 years ago you douche bag. And he was wounded and disfigured by the Germans in France in WWII while in the English army, not killed by the Japanese. My old man now has his medals, which I didn't even know my grandpa earned until he passed away. Grow the f*ck up man.

The manager of this room was a dealer in CO and CA for several years himself and is cool as hell, so the "No Dealer Abuse" rule is STRICTLY enforced.

Frankly, this deal with the idiot throwing a button at me and getting ejected immediately by the floor person was encouraging in that it showed that other floor persons will actually stand behind us, not just the manager of the room.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't think you need to point out what race she is. Is there a race that is immune to racial slurs? The term racial slur itself is enough.

Personally, I don't care as I see your point as it does give a little better description overall. Does it really help in making the point in the post? Not really. You only have to put enough in there to get the gist of the situation without being specific to any race. Not really worth going to war over in a thread though. It will come up again eventually by someone over someone else singling out some race.

I think these idiots deserved to get tossed. Dealing is a thankless job. You get to piss off 8 players every hand. And the 1 guy you do make happy will hate you the next hand. I don't envy it. I think it's great that the floor guys back you.(I echo your thoughts in a previous response in this thread) I've seen some that let things go a little too far before stepping in or just plain catering to a regular at the dealers expense. Which is a bunch of crap.

Yup!

I hate aholes NOT being dealt with in poker rooms, it's been a while since I have seen someone get that out of line though, good stories!

I only recall one guy during a tourney and still having chips being removed, when he threw cards at a dealer and said the dealer called him a MOFO. He was then argumentative with other players, and a couple of them not even at his table said they'd like to kick his arse.

I saw the dealer months later and asked him about it, he said that guy was normally fine, but a complete jackass when he drinks... and banned from many poker rooms because of it.

I saw 2 interviewed, definitely not their country of origin, but the BALLS to sue for that much & showing your face on TV is just asking for future troubles.

28 Million for calling them Bin Ladens and refusing service? @Denny's! LOL!

Agree with Al, being from TX, where casino card rooms are not legal and home games are abundant, I spend alot to get to casinos. The reason I do that is for the atmosphere. Next to inconsistencies in how the rules are applied, players who are allowed to be a$$holes make the cost of getting to a casino not worth it some times.

My girlfriend is hispanic. She looks like she is hispanic.
Specifically she is from Peru. She looks like she is from Peru.

I am a generic-enough looking american white guy.

My parents are both fairly generic-looking white people although my Mom is blonde and EXTREMELY pale skinned. My Dad has a slightly darker skin-tone.

My GF's family all look hispanic btw. Her skin-tone is a little bit lighter than her brother or her mom.

She also has a little bit of an accent but not an excessively strong one.
Her brother's accent is stronger. Her mom speaks practically no english so what she does say is obviously very accented.

I don't really speak any spanish. My english is typical mid-west/northern accent.
It sticks out a bit in the south (I live in Memphis) where many people quickly pick up on the fact that I am obviously not originally from the area.

I visited my Dad in Destin, Florida where many of his friends have southern accents (from Alabama or Georgia mostly). They all commented that we talked the same.
Mostly this just meant that we both had mid-west accents.

None of the above statements make me a racist.

Have a nice day.

Juanez - interesting stories.
Losing these types of customers is a no-brainer. Tolerating them is just plain silly. More casinos should be more diligent about tossing drunken morons.

Surprised to learn that you are NOT hispanic.
