I've been reading here for a while and I want to thank all of the posters on here for sharing their knowledge. (Raptor, Yugo, Eastbay, and many others.)

I want to get thoughts on how to play the hand below. Any comments are appreciated. This is a $20 and in Round 2. I got my stack early from hitting two pair from the BB and taking out a lower two pair. Thanks Again.

Welcome to the boards, or welcome to not being a lurker anymore anyway. :P

I'm not sure you want to be raising with AJs in early position this early in a SNG. You should be playing very tight for the first 2 levels. I would either limp or fold this hand, leaning towards a limp maybe since you have 2 other limpers and you can afford it.

Having said that, now that you've raised, you have to fold to the call and re-raise. You are just going to be dominated too often to risk up to 1000 more chips. This is why raising with AJs is a risky proposition in the early stages.

Thanks Benholio. I realized I should not have raised pf after the fact. I did fold to the all in. UTG called the all in and turned over AK. UTG+1 turned over A6 and hit a 6 on the turn.

I'd probably just fold without calling the blind and wait til level 3 to play these sorts of hands but that's jsut me....maybe I'm too tight
