The villain here had been playing pretty loosely so far.

Do I bet the turn? Wasn't very happy with my hand at this point, and I figured I'd absolutely hate a raise from him, so it was better to check through. Thoughts?

I like it. This early in a tourney, it's important that you're not spewing chips. If you can see this showdown cheaply (well, until you hit the nuts), then the better off you are IMO.
