Average place number is a useless statistic. I'd be happy averaging 5.5 if that meant half the time i got first and the other half tenth. ROI is what matters.

Average finish means squat. 4th is the same as 10th

Not true.

If you onsistently come in 10th, you have serious flaws in your game.

If you consitently come in 4th, you are likely too weak at the bubble, easily correctable.

4.23

All the spreadsheet you'll ever need to succeed in SnGs (http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/wordpad/)

I'm still working on my bubble leaks, but after

296 $20s, how does 4.64 seem with the following distribution:

1st - 43
2nd - 29
3rd - 31

My point is, don't worry about over-tracking and over-analyzing your results with fancy statistical tools. You'll be wasting time that's better used thinking about hands.

I have a smallish sample, but there is a big spike up for 7th place percentage, compared to 5th, 6th and especailly compared to 8/9/10.

Any one else have that or other anomalies?

He's right.

But some people can't resist analyzing, so do a search for "AM Spreadsheet" and you'll find it.

You guys are living in the stone age. Hoods SNG tracker is the only way to go. The only figures that matter are profit and hours.

3.89, 38%ROI, 44%ITM

I only have around 150 $11 SnG's recorded right now so this means basically nothing. I have 4th the most (18%), 1st the second most (17%) and 10th the least (0%).

Since I started pushing more on the bubble using the fold equity ideas, it seems like I finish in 1st or 4th a lot more (not 2nd or 3rd) anyone else find this?

4.4 over 300 SNGs.

Scuba Chuck

Any long term winner will have more then 4 and less than 5 for their average. Having a number less than 4 means one of three things.

1) Small Sample
2) You are an SNG God (is it possible?)
3) Liar, Liar, pants on fire.

It means quite a lot but only within a small range, anything under 4.15 is almost impossible to maintain.

4.16 to 4.25 have a good ratio of 1st places in their results.

4.26 to 4.40 are good solid winning players with a more or less even distribution.

Anything over 4.4 needs a little work. 4.7+ are losing players most of the time.

Which part, 4.15 is impossible nearly on 10 seaters over a decent sample, 4.7 is losing in general, its possible but very improbable to be winning.

I didn't say I didn't use anything, just that he was right.

And if it's just profit and hours, PT will do the trick as well.
