Ok, so the girlfriend got back in town Monday night. She is the best girlfriend in the world but that is not the point. So tonight she is going to dinner with a group of friends. I have two options the bar right down the street from my house has $1 mixed drinks and not just wells either. Last time I was there I was drinking double Captians for $2. A friend of a friend is having a B-day party at a local BBQ place, ok people $1.50 draw beer.

What should I do?

it's the "house" alcohol. usually the crappy stuff.

like say "good" vodka is Grey Goose, and OK vodka is Stolichnaya. The "well" vodka is probably something really shitty like Taaka or McCormick.

/Note: I [censored] hate vodka so please feel free to correct my choice of examples.

Cheap, like if you go to a bar and say give me a bourbon and coke, that is what you get. A call is Crown and coke.

bbq > all

Assuming it's not some crappy chain BBQ like KC Masterpiece, this is clearly the correct play.

Nope - Shorthorns. Good Stuff. KC masterpiece is definitely not at the top of the list of Kansas City BBQ places.

Taaka

I love the Taaka packaging. It's got all the stereotypical Russian stuff (buildings, lettering, etc.) except it says "Bottled in Kentucky" right there on the label.

A "bar well" is the compartment (usually steel and attatched to the ice well) that holds all the cheaper house spirits.

I'm not sure why this is an either/or type of thing.

What's really sad is that I pointed this out to my roommates who happen to have a 1.75 of it sitting around just the other day...

Of course, the Russian population of Kentucky is staggering...
