I think I like check/call the turn and bet/fold the river. He'll continue to bluff worse hands if you check the turn and most likely won't raise you with just a J on the river. You lose the least when you're behind but also make sure to get two bets when you're ahead.

I agree with this.

Also, I would have likely just folded the flop, without some read of the CO being laggy. Interested in seeing if others think continuing on the flop is good.

I think I find a flop fold as well. From a typical PF 3-bet the only hands villain must have for you to have a solid 6 outs are 88,99,KQ. You have a weak backdoor flush draw, and getting 8:1 so it's marginal but I still like a fold here.

Getting 8.4 to 1, I want 4.x outs, which I don't think you have.
