I'd like to see some real analysis software. Maybe I'm not searching properly. I'm looking for something like Snowie or Jellyfish for Backgammon. Something that gives me my options, and shows me what my percentages are.

I'm doing the trial of poker tracker and it looks ok, but I can't seem to consistently say "yes, I made the right play there" or "no, that play sucked."

I just know that snowie helped me so much with Backgammon, and I'd really love if there was something similar with poker that I could see... no, I should've raised there or folded here. Etc. Etc.

I apologize if this has been brought up many times, but I did use the search function and did not find anything.

I think you are under-estimating the complexity of poker. If a program could do this, then they would have created bots that can beat humans, which hasn't happened.

Backgammon is a game of perfect information. Poker is a game of imperfect information. In poker your opponents will intentionally try to deceive you by bluffing, slowplaying, varying their starting hand requirements, etc.

Sorry, but there is no shortcut. You are simply going to have to learn how to play. The goods news is that you have come to the right place.

Well, Lost Wages, that is why I was looking for such a product. To help me learn to play. To help me realize when I need to get out of a hand. I look through threads here, and I think I have a better understanding then before I came here, but I would like something that would tell me something like: (here let me use an example)

I hold Q /images/graemlins/spade.gif K /images/graemlins/spade.gif

Flop is A /images/graemlins/heart.gif 6 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif Q /images/graemlins/club.gif

I'd like something to tell me my odds:
- assuming other opponent(s) has an A
- assuming other opponent(s) has KK
- assuming other opponent(s) has JJ or lower PP

So that I can better judge what I should do in that situation regardless of tells, reads, or anything else.

PokerStove (http://www.pokerstove.com) will give you your pot equity, assuming both hands go to showdown, for situations like you describe.

Thank you!! That seems like it's what I was looking for.

The poker equivalent of Snowie is probably Poker Academy Pro. It has the best AI and a good range of useful analysis features.

Yes...
The leading edge of poker AI...
Is probably at the University of Alberta.

They have a research group...
Of profs and graduate students.

Here is the Link. (http://www.cs.ualberta.ca/~games/poker/)

Their work...
Has been incorporated into Poker Academy.

I have it.
There are several different Bots...
Some designed for full table play...
Some designed for head-to-head play.

You can set up...
Virtually any kind of game.

The Bots study how you play...
And adopt their play to your style...
So a given Bot...
Plays better and better against you over time.

That said...
All the Bots are fully configurable.

Sure you can find "leaks" and complain...
But these are the strongest Bot players..
That are commercially available.
