My villain is 40/18 after a ton of hands, I don't remember exactly how many at the moment.

Party 15, 9 handed.

Villain limps in MP, his lack of a raise in this situation means he has a subpar hand. I raise on the button with As4s. Blinds drop out and villain calls.

Flop 66Q rainbow. Check bet call.

Turn Ac, putting two clubs on the board. Check, I bet, he check-raises. Call down or 3bet?

Your kicker doesn't play, just call down. Without a postflop read I just assume they're never going to fold an A here.

You're splitting or losing to every other ace, so call down and let him fire on the river if he's bluffing?

After talking this over with someone, it turns out it's a really boring hand and calling down is the only play. I was questioning it because he showed down A2o for the chop, and I was wondering if there was validity to 3betting to get another ace to fold.

there is no reason to 3bet. this would actually be quite terrible imo. a big problem with 3betting is that he may just call you and lead the river.
